Who we are

MP Roofing is a trading name of Mark Passingham, a sole trader based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire HP5. Mark Passingham is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us on 07500 939396 or at roofmpr@aol.com.

What we collect

If you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, postcode, the service you selected and your message. Your email address is optional. We also record which page the enquiry came from, and the date and time.

If you call or message us on WhatsApp, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation, along with your phone number.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It sets cookies in your browser. We ask you first, and nothing is loaded unless you say yes - if you decline, no request is made to Google at all and no analytics cookies are set.

The only thing we store if you decline is a small cookie recording that you declined, so we don’t keep asking. That one is necessary for the site to respect your choice and doesn’t track you.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie choices link at the bottom of any page. Choosing again clears the analytics cookies we can reach.

We do not use cookies for advertising, we do not run any advertising or social media tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share what analytics tells us.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use it for one thing: to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out and invoice the work. The lawful basis is legitimate interest - you contacted us asking for a quote, and replying to you is the obvious reason we hold your details. Where you tick the consent box on the form, that is also consent.

We do not send marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list, and we will not pass your details to other trades or to lead-generation companies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t turn into work are deleted after 24 months. Records for work we actually carried out are kept for six years, because HMRC and any guarantee on the work both require it.

Who else sees it

• Resend - delivers the enquiry email to our inbox.
• Cloudflare Turnstile - checks the form is not being submitted by a bot.
• Vercel - hosts this website.
• AOL Mail - our inbox, where your enquiry is read.
• Google Analytics - counts visits, but only if you agreed to it.

Nobody else. We do not sell or share your information.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ring or email us and we will do it - there is no charge and we do not need a reason. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
