What the roofs here are like

Little Chalfont is a 20th-century village in the proper sense - it barely existed before the railway, and almost all of it was built between the 1920s and the 1970s. The dominant stock is interwar and postwar detached and semi-detached housing on curving residential roads, with plain concrete and clay tiled roofs, hipped or gabled, and a high proportion of attached or integral garages. There is a good deal of 1960s and 1970s building with the shallower pitches and wide eaves of that period, plus chalet bungalows with dormers cut into the front slope.
